How do i get the postcards out of the clock in kingdom hearts?

Ok, I pressed the ons one day and just left. When I came back to claim the two postcards from the clock, it wouldn't allow me to retrieve them. The ons are still pressed. Can anyone help? I know for a fact that I haven't gotten the postcards yet. I am talking about the first kingdom hearts, and I am saying that i can't get the postcards out of the clock, I never got them. It won't LET me get them.
