Why is my brother so sarcastic when it comes to music?

As much as I hate to say this but I don't listen to rap or none of the stuff y'all listen to. I like music from the 90's Smooth R&B and Soul, Quiet Storm, Adult Contemporary music and also Smooth Jazz. I like R&B music like Boyz II Men, H-Town, Jodeci, Toni Braxton, Mary J blidge, etc. And my brother always get on me because of the music that i listen to and he acts like its wrong that I like this kind of music and says stuff like " why don't you never listen to the radio, you just listen to a bunch of old azz music". " And you need to start listening to the radio because you missing out" its like he makes fun of me about it and i'm only 19 and he's 24 and I keep telling him that i don't like the music that you listen to because he listens to stuff like Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Plies, The Dream, etc. But the real reasons why i listen to the music that i listen to is because it brings back memories, it puts me in a good mood, it makes me feel good, and it relaxes me. When me and my brother be in the car together, the music that he plays bores me to sleep. I listen to the kind of music that targets mostly ages 25 and up and that's the music that i enjoy and my mother's the same way she even likes the kind music i listen to and that's whats what i was raised on and that's something i enjoy listening to but my brother and his friends laugh at me about it. What's your opinion? Should i start listening to rap and hip hop or what can i do to stop being insulted by my brother, his friends, and even my friends? Am I the only one who feel this way?
