I have questions about military housing in Okinawa, Japan?

We lived at Kadena for 4 years. We had a queen sized bed in base housing. We lived off base in an apt for about 6 months and only a full bed fit. Our apt didn't have any tatami, nor did those of any of our friends living off base (in apartments). We did have 1 set of friends who rented a house that did have tatami. Once we moved on base, we bought a large Okinawan entertainment center. It fit fine. My husband was an E4 at the time and we had a 2 br unit. Hope this helps!
