If you ever Sailed The SS Norway are you sad to know she was beached and salveged in India?

After sailing the Norway in the early to mid eighties, I was saddened to see that such a beautiful ship with such a rich history was left beached for salvage. As I am aware she had 80 some odd meters of asbestos onboard, also due to some shady buisness dealings ended up being chopped up and sold for scrap! As the former SS France I would have thought that she deserved better! The Paris Airport is named CDG for Charles de Galle who was elected as president of France while she was under construction, I think he would be ashamed to hve see the fate of what was formerly known as the Pride of France!
