Old Atari games for sale in Upstate NY!!?

Ok, so I don't know anything about video games, I've never been much of a gamer, but my dad was and today my mom and I found a bunch of his old Atari games. I realize this is 2010 and many gamers now probably haven't even heard of Atari but my mom was wondering if these games were of any value? I'm sure she'd like cash but I heard that some places will only give you store credit. I guess that would be OK too cuz I just bought my nephews a Wii. Although I can't imagine actually getting anything for these games cuz like I said, they are for Atari, but my mom wouldn't leave me alone about it "just in case". I'm from upstate NY so if people from this area could help that'd be great too. Thanks in advance.
