What is a good first car?

So I am a 17 year old girl, looking for her first car. I really like Honda Civics, like the Honda Civic SI, and I like Scion TC but I've come to realize that I will not be getting the car I want. But I need your opinion, I've been reading that I should get a good affordable car, that saves gas and all but what car would you reccomend? Like the name of it? Please help, thanks(:
