How do you get rid of a sore throat without lemon or honey?

iv been having a really bad sore throat for lik 6 daiz alredi how do i get rid of it and i dont have honey or lemons what should i do?? itz driving me crazy and its getting worse also the doctor zeid i dnt have strep throat but drainage wat doez tat meen??
