How long will my bf be in jail for violating?

My boyfriend took a piss test for his probation...he ped it then they sent it to the lab for some reason...and it came back positive...he was on state probation for 4 years..his first violation and his first pee test now i thought you could fail your first pee test and he just started probation...but when he got arrested he lied about his name cause he was scared....soooo do you think he will get reinstated????
